Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has called on organizers of the Lisabi Festival to showcase Egbaland’s historical figures and landmarks to attract tourists. He made the appeal during a visit by the festival committee ahead of the 2026 Lisabi Festival.

Obasanjo stressed the need to preserve sites like Iwe Irohin House, Abeokuta Prison, and Madam Tinubu’s storey building, citing their importance in boosting tourism. He also highlighted notable Egba personalities, including the Ransome-Kutis and Chief M.K.O. Abiola.
