The Nigeria National Industrial Court has issued an interim order for workers in the Federal Capital Territory to suspend their ongoing strike, which has paralyzed activities in major government offices.

The court ruled in favor of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and the FCT Administration, citing that the workers’ right to strike is not absolute. The strike, which began last Monday, has disrupted activities in major FCTA offices, including the payment of salaries and pensions. The court has directed the workers to return to work pending the outcome of the case.
