The Federal Government on Monday began presenting its case before the Federal High Court, Abuja, against Justice Chidiebere, a social media personality also known as Justice Crack.

Chidiebere appeared before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik on an amended three-count charge relating to alleged cyber-related offences and felony. He entered a plea of not guilty on all counts.
At the hearing, the prosecution called its first witness, Oronto Douglas. Douglas testified that investigators obtained audio and video recordings of an interview with the defendant and stored the files on a flash drive. He also told the court he executed a certificate of compliance covering the electronic evidence tendered.
The defense asked the court to allow the defendant to remain on the existing bail terms pending conclusion of trial. The prosecution raised no objection, and the court granted the request.
Justice Abdulmalik adjourned the matter to September 28 for continuation of hearing. The court noted that arrangements would be made through the Information Technology Department to review forensic materials connected to the case.
