Afrobeats star to perform during Eagles vs Jaguars game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Afrobeats star Sarah Aderibigbe, known as Ayra Starr, will headline the halftime show at the 2026 NFL London Game, becoming the first major African artist to do so.

The NFL announced the booking on Thursday. Ayra Starr also confirmed the performance in a post on her official Instagram page.

The game will feature the Philadelphia Eagles against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 11, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The halftime show is part of the NFL’s 2026 International Games schedule.

“I am so excited to perform at the NFL halftime show in London. London is one of my favourite places in the world and to bring Starrgirl to the NFL global stage is a dream come true for me. I can’t wait to see you guys there!” Ayra Starr said.

The London show is one of seven halftime performances presented by American Express across the NFL’s 2026 International Games. The concerts will take place in seven countries across four continents.

Tim Tubito, the NFL’s Senior Director of Global Game Presentation, Music and Entertainment, described Ayra Starr as a strong fit for London.

“London is one of the most influential music cities in the world, and African music has been at the centre of that conversation for years now,” Tubito said.

He added that she was “the right artist to carry that momentum forward” and that the league was looking forward to a performance that matches the energy of the occasion.

Previous halftime performers at NFL London games have mostly been British and American acts.

With this booking, Ayra Starr becomes the first major African artist to headline an NFL performance.

Kickoff for the Eagles vs Jaguars game is set for 2:30 p.m. British Summer Time on October 11.
