Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called out President Bola Tinubu over the state of Nigeria’s petroleum refineries.

Atiku said it’s wrong for the current administration to shift blame for the refineries’ problems to previous governments.

According to him, the Tinubu-led government must instead give account of the billions of naira that have been committed to the facilities under its watch.

The former VP’s statement comes amid renewed debates on why Nigeria’s refineries are still not working optimally despite huge investments over the years.

Atiku insisted that Nigerians deserve answers on how funds allocated to the refineries have been spent, rather than repeated excuses.
