The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has dropped two lawmakers who are loyal to Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The move is the latest sign of the deepening rift within the party in the state, as the APC leadership moves to sideline members seen as backing the governor over the party’s own structure.

This comes amid the ongoing political crisis in Rivers, where the governor has been at odds with some factions of the state assembly and party stakeholders. The removal is expected to further shift the balance of power ahead of upcoming political activities.
