The Accord Party has dismissed claims that it has endorsed President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election, describing the reports as false and misleading.

In a statement released on Sunday, the party said it has not entered into any agreement or alliance to support the President or any other candidate ahead of the next general elections.

According to Accord, the rumour circulating on social media and some online platforms was the handiwork of individuals seeking to mislead the public and cause confusion within the party’s ranks.

“The attention of Accord Party has been drawn to a publication claiming that the party has endorsed President Bola Tinubu. We state categorically that this is not true,” the statement read.

The party reiterated its commitment to democratic principles and said it would make its position on the 2027 elections known at the appropriate time through its official channels.

Accord urged Nigerians and its members to disregard the claim and to rely only on information issued directly by the party’s National Working Committee.
