A teacher taken during the attack on Community High School in Ahoro-Esinele, Oriire LGA, Oyo State, has reportedly been killed by his abductors.

The victim, identified as Michael Oyedokun, was among staff and students seized when gunmen invaded the school on May 15, 2026. Reports say the assailants later circulated a video on May 17 showing Oyedokun dead in captivity.

The development has sparked grief in the community, with families and residents urging the Oyo State Government and security agencies to step up efforts to rescue the remaining hostages. Calls for urgent action have grown as anxiety mounts over the fate of those still held.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the reported death or addressed the circulating footage. The incident has added to concerns about insecurity in the area, following a recent failed abduction attempt along the Ibadan-Ijebu road that claimed a life.
