Obi Cubana, a prominent Nigerian businessman and socialite, has been appointed as the South-East Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, a youth-focused political and economic mobilization group. The appointment letter was presented to him by Seyi Tinubu, son of the Nigeria President Bola Tinubu, during a visit to his residence on Monday night.

In a post on his official Instagram page, Obi Cubana revealed that the visit provided an opportunity for discussions on national issues and expressed his commitment to promoting inclusiveness and unity in the country. He described President Bola Tinubu as “a City Boy and a man of commerce” and emphasized the importance of collective effort in achieving national aspirations.

Obi Cubana’s appointment has sparked mixed reactions, with some critics questioning his involvement in the movement. However, he defended his decision, stating that meaningful change can only be achieved through active engagement and constructive participation, rather than isolation.

The City Boy Movement aims to mobilize, educate, and empower young Nigerians and women in alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Obi Cubana’s appointment is expected to leverage his influence and business network to boost regional participation in national initiatives.
