Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has said he will not contest for president again after the 2027 general election.

Speaking during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Wednesday, Atiku noted that he has been seeking the presidency since 1992 and that the next election would mark his last attempt.

Atiku, a veteran of several presidential campaigns, said the decision comes after decades in national politics and multiple runs for the country’s top office.
