UK MINISTER CALLS FAILED US-IRAN TALKS DISAPPOINTING.

Britain’s foreign minister has described the outcome of the US-Iran talks in Pakistan as disappointing after the negotiations ended without a peace agreement.

Foreign Minister Yvette Cooper said Thursday that the UK “strongly” wants to see the ceasefire extended to Lebanon amid rising concerns over regional stability. Her comments came as Prime Minister Keir Starmer visited the United Arab Emirates to meet regional leaders and support efforts to bolster the ceasefire in the Middle East war.

The talks between US and Iranian delegations were held in Islamabad but concluded without a deal. Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said no agreement was expected in a single session. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar urged both sides to continue working toward durable peace for the region.

Prime Minister Starmer said the Iran conflict must become a turning point for Britain and called for de-escalation and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to ease pressure on fuel prices and the cost of living.
