APC aspirant Mahmud Sadis Buba has pulled out of the race for Sabon Gari Federal Constituency in Kaduna after questions over his age surfaced online. Buba, who said he was 30, announced the withdrawal on Saturday, saying it followed talks with family, party leaders, and stakeholders and was meant to preserve APC unity ahead of 2027.

The move came after his passport and NIN documents circulated on social media, reportedly showing a 2010 birth date. Buba, popularly known as Abin Al-Ajabin Zazzau, had passed the party’s screening and said stepping down was a sacrifice for the party’s chances, not a sign of weakness. He urged supporters to back whoever emerges as the consensus candidate.
