The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has activated its presidential campaign machinery ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The National Chairman of the party, Senator David Mark, will on Friday, October 10, 2026, inaugurate the party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja, by 4:00 pm.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the National Chairman on Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan.

According to Ologbondiyan, the inauguration will formally set the stage for the ADC’s presidential campaign structure. He said the event will bring together leaders of the party and candidates participating in the 2027 elections.

He said all ADC leaders, governorship candidates, National Assembly candidates and State Houses of Assembly candidates across the country are expected to attend.

The ceremony marks a major step in the party’s preparations for the 2027 polls as it positions itself as a leading opposition platform to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The party has in recent months intensified efforts to build its national structures and harmonize its campaign activities.

Membership of the Campaign Council has not yet been disclosed.
