The situation in Utouno community is getting more intense, with bandits demanding N100m and threatening to attack if their demand isn’t met. The warning was sent via a letter to community leaders, referencing a previous attack on Woro community in Kwara State. Residents are living in fear, with some relocating to safer areas.

The Kebbi State Government has deployed security personnel, including air surveillance, to protect Utouno. Governor’s spokesman Ahmed Idris said the state is taking the threat seriously and acting proactively. The Lakurawa group, linked to recent attacks in Kebbi and Sokoto State, has k+lled dozens and abducted residents.
Residents remain on high alert, fearing the bandits may strike anytime.
