ADC PEGS PRESIDENTIAL NOMINATION FORM AT ₦100M.

The African Democratic Congress has released its timetable for primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections and pegged its presidential nomination form at ₦100 million.

In a statement issued Sunday by National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the sale of nomination forms will run from May 5 to May 10, 2026. Submission of completed forms is scheduled for May 11 to May 13.

Screening of aspirants will hold between May 14 and May 15, with results to be published on May 17. Appeals from the screening process will be heard from May 18 to May 19, while the final list of cleared aspirants will be released on May 20.

According to the timetable, primary elections will commence on May 21, with contests for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate seats holding simultaneously at the ward level. Governorship primaries are slated for May 22, while the presidential primary will take place on May 25.

The process will be followed by a National Executive Committee meeting on May 26 and a Special National Convention on May 27 for final ratifications.

The party approved a structured fee regime for nomination forms across all elective positions. The presidential form is ₦100 million, governorship ₦50 million, Senate ₦20 million, House of Representatives ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly ₦3 million.

To encourage wider participation, the ADC announced concessions, offering a 50 percent discount for youths and a 25 percent discount for women and persons with disabilities.

The party urged members, stakeholders, and aspirants to strictly adhere to the outlined schedule and guidelines.
