The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has announced the commencement of its 2026 Basic Military Training Course 47/2026 recruitment exercise.

The NAF made the announcement on Wednesday via its official X handle.

Online registration will run from September 3 to October 14, 2026.

The service said the registration is FREE OF CHARGE.

Who Can Apply

1. Tradesmen/Women: Must be between 18 and 27 years by March 1, 2027

2. Non-Tradesmen/Women: Must be between 18 and 22 years by March 1, 2027

General Requirements for All Applicants:

1. Must be Nigerian citizens by birth

2. Minimum height: 1.66m for males, 1.63m for females

3. Must be medically, physically and psychologically fit

4. Must meet NAF’s medical and employment standards

Educational Requirements

Tradesmen/Women:

– ND/NCE from accredited institutions

– Minimum of 5 credits including Maths and English in not more than 2 sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB or NBAIS

– Trade Test certificate required for driving and other trades. Drivers must have a valid driver’s licence

Non-Tradesmen/Women:

– Minimum of 5 credits including Maths and English in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB or NBAIS

– Must also possess Primary School Certificate and Secondary School Testimonial

Other Documents Needed:

Successful applicants will complete an Acknowledgement Form, Parent/Guardian Consent Form, and LGA Attestation Form.

The attestation form must be signed by:

A military officer not below Wing Commander rank, a CSP in Police, LGA Chairman/Secretary, or a Magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.

It must also include the applicant’s passport photo and photocopy of the signatory’s ID.

Selection Process

NAF said the zonal general aptitude test date will be communicated via the portal.

Only successful candidates will be invited for interview.
