Two men have been taken into custody in Anambra State for allegedly producing counterfeit alcoholic drinks.

Security operatives raided the location after receiving intelligence about an unlicensed facility manufacturing fake beverages. The suspects were arrested on the spot, and equipment used for mixing, bottling, and labeling the illicit drinks was seized.
Authorities say the operation was part of a wider crackdown on unsafe alcohol production across the state. Officials warned that such products pose serious health risks to consumers and damage legitimate businesses.
The suspects are helping investigators with inquiries as police work to uncover the distribution network behind the fake drinks. More arrests are expected as the probe continues.
Regulators have urged residents to buy only certified products and to report suspicious production sites to security agencies.
