The Lagos chapter of the Accord Party has announced its candidates for the 2027 governorship and senatorial races, presenting them as alternatives to the state’s current political direction.

Certificates of Return were handed out to 27 aspirants during an event in Lagos on Saturday, including the party’s governorship nominee Sowore Robert and three senatorial contenders. State Chairman Dele Oladeji said the issuance formally confirmed the party’s slate and kicked off campaign activities.

Oladeji, who is also contesting for Lagos West Senate, said the Accord is positioning itself around social justice, equity, and welfare-focused governance. He added that many Lagosians are seeking change from the existing order and that the party has the structure to deliver it.

Lagos Central Senate candidate Solomon Wahab said his bid was motivated by better governance and ensuring citizens get more value from democracy. He called on voters to collect their PVCs and participate actively in the 2027 polls.

The Accord Party also reaffirmed Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as its presidential candidate for 2027, signaling its readiness to challenge established parties across Lagos.
