The Allied People’s Party, APP, has published its candidate list for Lagos State ahead of the 2027 elections, covering governor, senatorial districts, and the state House of Assembly.

The unveiling is part of APP’s early groundwork for polls fixed by INEC: Jan 16, 2027 for president and National Assembly, and Feb 6, 2027 for governor and assembly. Parties are expected to wrap up primaries between April and May 2026.
According to the party, the names came out of consultations and selection meetings held across Lagos. APP says the lineup reflects its plan to compete seriously for control in Lagos, Nigeria’s economic hub and one of the most contested states politically.
The full list of names and specific constituencies has not been made public yet. APP indicated it will release the complete details and its policy direction for Lagos once official campaigning begins, with focus areas including infrastructure, governance reforms, and grassroots engagement.
Meanwhile, other parties are also rolling out candidates. APM recently endorsed Laja Adeoye as governorship candidate, while APC leaders have been weighing consensus options for Lagos, Ogun and Oyo.
APP maintains it will offer Lagos voters an alternative built around accountability and development.
