Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 12 Brigade have carried out a successful operation in Kogi State, resulting in the death of a suspected terrorist and the recovery of arms and ammunition.

The operation, conducted under Operation IGBO IDANU I, targeted a known hideout and led to the clearance of the location. Items recovered include rounds of 7.62 x 54 linked ammunition and high-velocity grenades.

In a related move, soldiers intercepted two suspected logistics couriers in Lokoja LGA. They were found with 314 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition and three AK-47 magazines. Both suspects and the recovered items have been handed over to military intelligence for further investigation.

The Army said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and protect civilians in the state.
