NDLEA RAIDS LEKKI MANSION, SEIZES DRUGS WORTH ₦5.8BN.

NDLEA operatives from the Special Operations Unit raided a mansion at 36 African Lane, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos on May 8, 2026. They recovered 4,000 parcels of high-grade cannabis weighing 2,326kg, estimated at ₦5.815 billion. Two Mercedes-Benz buses and multiple packaging materials were also seized.

In a separate operation on May 6 in Ijora Badia, Lagos, officers arrested two suspects caught producing “skuchies” and seized 270 litres of the substance plus 106g of Tramadol.

The agency also arrested three persons with disabilities for drug trafficking in Anambra and Kwara during the week. Additional arrests and large seizures were made in Nasarawa and Kogi states.

NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) commended the officers involved and said the agency’s sensitization campaign continued in schools and communities across several states.
