The Kano State Strategic Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has uncovered a network of underground caves and tunnels allegedly being used to store and distribute illicit drugs in the Rimin Kebe area of Kano metropolis.

Officials say the discovery followed a targeted operation aimed at dismantling drug distribution cells operating within the city. The hidden structures were reportedly being used by dealers to conceal narcotics and avoid detection by law enforcement.
The NDLEA described the find as a significant breakthrough in its ongoing campaign against drug trafficking and abuse in the state. The agency noted that such underground hideouts pose serious security and public health risks to residents and vowed to sustain raids and surveillance to curb the menace.
No arrests have been confirmed yet, but the command said investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those behind the operation.
