The Ondo State Police Command has arrested six individuals posing as pastors for allegedly defrauding residents through staged “miracles”. The suspects, identified as Fadahunsi, Kolade, Tijani, Iyanuoluwa, Arijesulola, and Ademola, were apprehended on February 16, 2026, following an intelligence-driven operation.

The police investigation revealed that the suspects posed as religious leaders, staging fake miracles and spiritual interventions to gain the trust of their victims. They allegedly exploited people’s faith and vulnerabilities, promising divine solutions to financial and health problems, and defrauding them through false pretenses.
The suspects operated in a coordinated manner, assigning specific roles to create a convincing façade of legitimacy. Further investigations are ongoing to determine the total number of victims, financial magnitude of the fraud, and identify other collaborators.
