Senior Nigerian lawyer Mike Ozekhome and Ponfa Useni face 12 charges, including conspiracy, forgery, and impersonation, over a UK property allegedly obtained through false claims. The charges relate to a property at 79 Randall Avenue, London NW2, and involve alleged forgery of a Nigerian passport and other documents. Ozekhome, a prominent lawyer, and Useni are accused of using a fictitious identity, “Tali Shani,” to claim the property.

The prosecution alleges the defendants conspired to forge documents and used them to support their claim. Ozekhome is also accused of controlling the property and £18,000 in rent, suspected to be unlawfully obtained.
The Federal Government has withdrawn earlier charges, citing a review of the case. Ozekhome and Useni are in EFCC custody, awaiting arraignment.
