The Oyo State Police command has prevented a bandit attack at Elebe Village, Aleniboro, via Irawo Mine in Atisbo Local Government Area. Two bandits were killed, and weapons were recovered, including AK-47 rifles and locally made pistols.

The attack was prevented after a good Samaritan alerted police to the presence of armed Fulani men planning to attack the community. Police collaborated with local hunters to mobilize to the hideout, exchanging gunfire with the bandits.

The area is now secured, with ongoing surveillance to apprehend fleeing suspects. The Commissioner of Police appreciated the Inspector-General of Police for support and urged residents to report suspicious activities.
