A 23-year-old man, Abidemi Emmanuel has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command has for allegedly raping a popular content creator, Fems Thrift, and her friend. Emmanuel reportedly lured the victims with a fake modelling gig in Ajao Estate on February 8.

According to Fems, the suspect contacted her on Instagram, claiming to launch an international fashion brand in Nigeria and offering her N140,000 for a modelling job. Upon arrival, Emmanuel allegedly sexually assaulted both women, seized their phones, and transferred intimate photos and videos, threatening to release them online if they spoke out.

The arrest follows intense public pressure on social media after Fems’ detailed account went viral. Lagos State Police PPRO Abimbola Adebisi confirmed the arrest, stating the investigation is ongoing at the command’s Gender Unit, with the suspect to be charged upon completion.
