The Nigerian Army’s 12 Brigade has destroyed a terrorist camp in Kogi State, recovering significant arms and ammunition, including 8 boxes of 7.62 x 54 link ammunition and high-velocity grenades. The operation, led by Brigadier General Kasim Umar Sidi, involved troops advancing on foot through dense forest and difficult terrain to achieve tactical surprise.

The terrorists, linked to Kachalla Ibrahim and Shu’aibu, fled upon sighting the advancing troops. The camp was systematically destroyed and set ablaze to prevent reoccupation. The Nigerian Army has continued aggressive patrols and sustained offensive operations to disrupt fleeing elements and prevent regrouping.
In a related operation, troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI killed 16 ISWAP terrorists in Borno State, recovering over 20 bicycles, logistics items, and weapons. They also rescued 9 kidnapped victims and arrested suspected logistics suppliers.
